Traditional chicken soup, and the taste is just right (not too salty or whatsoever). You can only order Soto here. Side dish such kerupuk, tahu, tempe, and fried chicken are served on the table.

The taste of the soto was just ok for me. If you don't eat it with the 'sate telur' or perkedel, the taste was actually quite plain. It was quite hard to park our vehicle because it is a busy street.

One of the legendary breakfast options in Jogjakarta. Never understood the hype til I tasted it myself. Broth is light but aptly seasoned. The soup filling is cooked to perfection. They offer various choice of equally good side dishes, also warm hospitality... Place is really rustic, also I peeked at their open kitchen and saw the broth is cooked with anglo (traditional charcoal stove), so I guess they try their best to keep their recipe authentic.

This eatery is very popular. The soto is a little bit sweet, unique taste and delicious actually.Cleanliness is an issue and the service was not so good when we visit.

One thing to note is, when you want to taste the original recipe of the legendary Soto Kadipiro (which you'll see there are many in the maps, as branches of this one), please pay attention that this one is the TRUE LEGEND. This one brought me back to my childhood for its family heritage restaurant (you can see the paintings of the real owner there). Other branches may also good as well, but if you want the traditional ambience, go for this one. Parking may be crowded even in the earlier time, so preserve your time and energy by using public transports or online transports.

Should try this one. Me, never like to add beansprout and vegetable in my soup, so if you same like me, just order with additional request to seperate the vegetable. Add the chilli sauce and squeeze abit lime in the soup. You have to try the chicken satay also, very yummy, myself can finish up 10pcs

This is one of the most popular local food in Yogyakarta. I like Soto, but this kind of Soto is different than my favorite Soto style. So it's a matter of preference. However I must say that for the similar kind of Soto, this one is delicious. Location: can be found easily because it's on a big street. The place is crowded of people, so you can expect what it is like. Price is moderate.

This was my first time eating at this place and I thought, "wow I know now why this place is so popular". At the first glance, from the outside the place itself seems like an old house and the parking lot is narrow. Getting inside, it's quite spacious but may be packed in the busy hours or holidays. I came in the brunch time at around 10am and the waitresses responded very quick to our orders, even our food came quicker than we thought it would. The taste was good, and there are many side dishes to spice up the soup. I had a great first impression, so I think it would be worth a visit if you're in the area.
